As a bad amateur photographer, I appreciate a good photo. Be it an artistic one, one that captures a scene perfectly, one that captures a moment between two people, one that catches an unforgettable memory, I can appreciate them all. But one of my favourite types of photograph, are those that are taken at just the right moment to catch something happen. Be it an accident about to happen, a funny face, a mishap or whatever – something caught either intentionally or accidentally on camera, can be golden.
Afraid of putting your email address into a forum post or thread incase a spam spider gets it?
Nowadays, it’s inevitable that if you use your email address in plain text on a website / forum, that it will get spidered and spam will start coming to you. To me this doesn’t cause me any issues (and I will explain why in an upcoming spam article). for many, this may be a problem and therefore would be nice to avoid.
I recently came across a site that has a reasonable solution for you. You provide it with your email address, and it converts it into a picture that you can save, html or BB code link to.
Here is an example: . This is a very quick one I did to use as a test, but the site has options on font size, colour, background etc etc. With this, unless someone is using a highly efficient character recognition piece of software (which lets face it, they deserve your email address if they are), your email address will be safe from auto scanning spider bots.
Being a person of less than perfect vision, I have a number of times attempted to wear contact lenses. After 30 mins of pinching my eyeball and nearly poking my cornea out, I give up and put my kick ass glasses back on! However, there are times I wish I could manage it so I could wear some of these kick ass contact lenses. Maybe I could get a one created?
Anyways, whilst I was away this weekend, these images appeared in my email inbox so I thought it best to share them with you. Not seen anything this good before:
There are a number of free internet radio stations out there that allow you to play almost any song in the world. They are particularly useful if for example, you had a party with people coming who would not necessarily listen to the same stuff as you, so you can get a selection that meets everyones needs without having to buy songs. Likewise, its great to listen to an album before committing to buying it.
I use it as a method of listening to my different playlists from wherever I am, without needing to cart around 200gb of music with me.
Go there, check it out, as long as you don’t live in a tent where to you broadband is a fat drummer, then you should be ok. You can create a free account and start choosing what to listen to.
If you are stuck for inspiration, why not get started with my personal awesome playlist.
